What a game
Saints beat Birmingham 4-3 in what is the best game of football i've ever seen. Saints were 3-0 up within 20 minutes and i couldn't believe what i was seeing. But the Brummies have a quality team, and they pulled it back to 3-2 after the break. Then on came Bradley Wright-Phillips, and with his first touch makes it 4-2. They pulled another back on the 90th minute but we held on for a very important three points. Saints are really well positioned for a promotion push now, but Burley(the manager) needs to get rid of Kelvin Davis (Goalkeeper) because he is utterly useless.

Panorama and the mighty Saints!
Watched the Panorama programme Sunday night about online gambling and it really put poker in bad light. I enjoyed the interviews with the chairmen of the various gambling sites, and some of the financial facts and figures were quite interesting. However, the presenter Declan Lawn was a complete muppet and the programme just went out of its way to make Poker look like the devils game.
Obviously, they highlighted the addictiveness of gambling and brought out the worst case study they could find. Instead of giving a true account of the people who play poker and the fun that can be had, they rambled on about how everyone will become addicted. True, some people will become addicted - as with almost anything in life as humans have an addictive nature, but they were implying that it will pose a problem for society which is ridiculous.
This programme no doubt stems from the recent law passed in the US, which basically means financial institutions cannot authorise transactions to online gambling sites. So the people who run the 'land of the free' are now imposing online prohibition on thier citizens, which really goes against everything America is supposed to stand for.
Anyway, im off to watch the mighty Saints on Wednesday evening. We are at home to Birmingham. If we lose we will be 10 points adrift from the top of the Championship and that'll probably be the end of our title hopes this season

Playing Poker with other people's money
My girlfriend Lucy's money that is. I know, that sounds bad. Her friend Karen at work managed to blag one of our colleagues (this is Steve, who i play cash games with regularly) to play £20 online to see how much money he could make for her. Anyway, he did quite well so Lucy asked me to do the same thing for her.......I've never hit so many cards in my life! Turned $38 into $145 within 2 hours, and that was on a $1/2 limit table. Ridiculous.
